WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 2ND - On the scrounge

Went into York this morning looking for various items needed for the main prop. Headed for Barnitts. Just voted shop of the Year in York. Quite right too. A veritable Aladdin's cave of anything you could want in the home. Sally, one of the directors, was wonderfully friendly and helpful. She let me have a few bits and pieces at no cost. Very kind and worth a mention. Sally had heard of the 4th plinth, but not the Soroptimists.

I found other item I needed in Blacks, the outwear shop and managed a 10% discount.
